True to its mission, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Aging Coalition (CMAC) plans an annual Special Project as a service to the senior community and as a way for its members to collaborate in making a difference. Some of the past projects have included a food harvest, production and delivery of emergency preparedness kits and honoring grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. These events occur each year, usually in the Spring, and are great examples of how CMAC is committed to action and response to critical community issues.
“Our community’s older adults–as well as the service providers who work with our seniors–benefit greatly from the information, resources and heartfelt commitment delivered by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Aging Coalition (CMAC). Mecklenburg County is fortunate to have CMAC as a strong community partner.” - Jennifer Roberts, Mecklenburg County Commission Chair
